about me

Hi, I’m Jo (Jiyun 지윤), founder of OAKAI Wellness.

I’m a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), facilitator, musician, and songwriter with a nervous system–informed approach to wellbeing.

As a second-generation Korean American, much of my work is shaped by my own experience navigating the complicated intersection of identity, cultural expectations, responsibility, and belonging. I’m especially interested in supporting immigrants and people from multicultural families in untangling what they’ve inherited from what actually feels true to them.

Before wellness, there was music. I’m a Berklee College of Music graduate, and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. After stepping away from it for several years, I’m finding my way back—this time bringing sound and wellbeing into the same room.

My professional background began in digital health coaching and sustainable behavior change, but over time, my work became increasingly rooted in the nervous system. Because meaningful change is hard to sustain when we’re disconnected from what’s happening within us.

OAKAI is where all of these pieces meet.

Through coaching, workshops, sound meditation, and thoughtfully curated wellness experiences, I create spaces for people to notice what’s here, reconnect with themselves, and make choices that feel more fully their own.
